Perched Beaches

As the owner of a waterfront property, you may decide to add a sandy beach for your recreational pleasure. As the name implies, this type of beach is perched high and dry into your shoreline, with stone steps gaining access to the lake. Due to its elevated location on your property, the waterfront’s natural wave action will not erode your beach, and the environmental implications are positively reduced. You will spend less time replenishing your beach sand and more time enjoying its beauty. Let us help you design a beach that will provide for years of lakefront enjoyment.

Please note that construction of a beach will most likely result in a modification of the shoreline. The required permit for a perched beach must meet the guidelines set forth in the Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act.
